Burnout

If you’re dealing with the stress and strain of burnout, Amanda Patrick Coaching of Scottsville, KY, can help you reset and find your passion for life again.

Addressing Burnout to Find Passion and Purpose

Burnout is a common issue that can lead to a great deal of stress, as well as emotional and physical health problems. And when you’re experiencing burnout, finding a way out can seem impossible – but it’s not. Below, Amanda Patrick Coaching of Scottsville, KY, shares some tips on addressing burnout, prioritizing balance, and reducing stress.

Take Some Time to Investigate and Reflect

Do you know why you’re experiencing burnout? You might think that it’s because you hate your job, but upon reflection, you realize it’s just one aspect.

For example, the schedule might keep you from spending time with your family or friends, or the clients you work with aren’t those you want to serve. On the other hand, it could be that your job is just a job – a means to an end – that isn’t getting you closer to your dreams.

Until you discover what the issue is, you can’t address it. Once you have discovered it, however, you can take the necessary steps. This might mean speaking to your employer about changing your schedule or making a complete career shift.

Take Care of Yourself

One of the most important things you can do to counter burnout is to make your health and wellness a priority. Get some exercise, eat well, stay hydrated, and get good quality sleep. Also, employ stress management and self-care techniques, such as journaling, getting a massage, or enjoying a hobby.

Seek Help

Burnout can be difficult to deal with on your own. It can take clarity to develop an effective plan, but clarity can be difficult to achieve during this time. Working with a coach can help you dig into the root of your burnout, develop a clear path forward, find or rediscover your purpose, and finally live a life you are passionate about.
